90210 Reboot!

After watching the Beverly Hill 90210 reboot a.k.a. (the reunion show), completely not sure the direction of the show. Overall 90210 has changed dramatically over the years. Hands down the favorite cast is the original actor and actress which included Jason Priestley(Brandon Walsh), Shannon Dorthy (Brenda Walsh), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Tori Spelling (Donna Martin) Luke Perry(Dylan Mckay), Brian Austin Green (David Silver), Gabrielle Carteries(Andrea Zuckerman) and Ian Ziering (Steve Sander). Don't forget the parents like Walsh's, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Martin.

The original show released in 1990 and lasted until 2000. The show covered many social issues that included but not limited by chronicling the characters friendships and romantic relationships, the show addressed topics such as sex, date rape, homophobia, animal rights, alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic violence, eating disorders, antisemitism, racism, teenage suicide, teenage pregnancy, and AIDS.

Now with the reunion show, the expectation is high, but what you're seeing is like another reality show which would be very disappointed if that is the direction. The show began with all the cast member reminiscing on them being apart of the original show both on and offset.  Jennie Garth (Kelly) and Tori Spelling (Donna) seems to be friends on and offset where Tori's children call Jennie  "Aunty". Shannon Dorthy(Brenda) is off saving the world with her human right activities. Brian Austin Green (David) is now married to Lala Anthony(Shay) with two children and a famous producer. 90210 took some time to bring color to the show, guest it's never too late. Jennie and Jason Priestley (Brandon) had sex on the weekend reunion in Las Vagas, NV while Jason wife who is also his manager/agent is home pregnant.  Gabrielle Carteries(Andrea) had a sexual experience with a woman. Finally, Ian Ziering(Steve) is about fame, while his wife is cheating on him.

At the end of the show, they showed respect to Luke Perry(Dylan) who died on March 4th, 2019 at the age of 52 of a stroke leaving his children Sophie and Jack Perry.  Prior to his death, "The Beverly Hills, 90210 stars' had the colonoscopy in 2015 after partnering with Fight Colorectal Cancer‘s “One Million Strong” campaign, which encouraged people to get screened." As the show moves forward, the awaiting of the direction is up in the air based on the first episode of the reunion show. Regardless of what the next six week will show, they have a loyal watcher waiting to see the ending results.

The reunion is just one of the many reminders of why people could not get into the spin-off. It's like Black-ish and grown-ish. Black-ish is the better show and Grown-ish, simply don't understand why this show is even on, but then again it could be the age difference.

The reunion of 90210 with the original cast will bring hope for the fans. Keep checking weekly for updates.

This show was so good in 1990, I used to schedule everything just get home and watch. I hope the reunion is just as exciting for the next few weeks.
