Diesel Hampton ft. Keezy & Anonymous E Lecture #Blackexcellence
Diesel Hampton Music Group (DHMG) has put together a well-produced track. "Lecture #Blackexcellence" is more of a melodic feel and its lyrical delivery. The song is refreshing to the ears. It's something different to look forward to, simply because the production and lyrical delivery do not feel like a cookie-cutter song that is just going with the trends. Diesel Hampton ft. Keezy & Anonymous E on the "Lecture #Blackexcellence" provides excellent artistry.
Diesel Hampton Music Group (DHMG) is a great production to work with for any artist who requires professionalism and perfection. Thus far, the Radios and Club DJs alike are giving the song thumps up across the board. Diesel Hampton is no stranger to the music industry as he has worked with multi-platinum selling artists like Bryson Tiller, Malik Yusef, Gucci Mane, and others. Mr. Hampton is in a similar category to Dj Khaled, where they mastermind the production of the beat/instrumentals and bring in the right artist to a track to its destiny.
The song "Lecture" is on the "#blackexcellence" project. The album also includes another single that was just released called: Maybe (She Deserve you) featuring the vocals of Just True. A beautiful song about the pain of lost love and moving forward. Review the two latest singles from (DHMG) and let us know your thoughts.
How would you describe the music that you typically create? I create hip-hop and R&B for those who LOVE it. Not just for the casual fan but for those who feel in tune with a track the second they hear the first note of their favorite song, those who can resonate with the lyrics because it's something they are either experiencing or can relate to.
What is the current project about? #blackexcellence is my debut Producer album. I'm showing the world what I can do musically behind the boards with some of the best up-and-coming talents in the world. My project is like a Dj Khaled album but on another level.
How do you feel it will inspire others? I feel that after the first track hits listeners will be hooked and they will want more of the same, but not just from me but many of the other great artists out there like me.
What is your creative process like? To be honest it's a vibe. I feel a certain way then I dive right into work, or I hear a sound and think what if I added a bass drum to it. I swear, the true story once I was at the Georgia Aquarium and saw a whale, went home found a sample of a Beluga whale singing, and sampled it. Now it's an upcoming song.
Who would you most like to collaborate with? I was just talking with Malik Yusef of G.O.O.D. Music about this on Thanksgiving and my bucket list as a producer would be able to do a song with Andre 3000 and Jay-Z. I feel at that point I might hang it up, haha. But there are so many young talents that are really exciting that I'd love to do tracks for. Chance the Rapper is my guy right now, Baby Keem seems like he'd be fun to do a track or two with. To be honest, I'm a working producer and I just want to get as many tracks with as many artists as I can...oh and Beyonce of course...haha.
If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be? Right now, I'd love to open for Drake he's the hottest thing out right now, or better yet I'd love to be the host/DJ for Drake, Kendrick Lamar. J.Cole, and Big Sean that would be a dope show!
What is one message you would give to your fans? Keep dreaming, never give up those dreams and do ALL YOU CAN to achieve them.
What is the most useless talent you have? I can name at least one player of every NBA team playing every season. I literally memorize rosters
Do you sing in the shower? Yes, all the time
Where have you performed? When I was with my former rap group the Avenjahs we traveled all over the country so I've been everywhere, I even performed in Jamaica and loved it!
Do you have any upcoming shows? Right now, I'm just focused on finalizing this #blackexcellence project and then we start touring hopefully next year.
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business? I think in a sense it helped but also hurt the game at the same time. It gives more opportunity, however, if you don't have the money or the right channels to promote a lot of artist are spinning their wheels. A lot of money is being wasted on bots and scammers to promote and it waters down the product and leaves us with the same few major artists we've started with. It's a necessary tool though.
What is your favorite song to perform? FOREIGN (ft. Anonymous E, Gho$t, and Syn Alexander) I love it because not often do I have a chance to perform with my wife and she blessed the track.
Which famous musicians do you admire? To keep it real I admire anyone who put the effort in and made it to that next level. But if I could trade places career-wise with anyone it would be Jay-Z. To utilize business and talent to become the GOAT is amazing.
What is the most trouble you've ever gotten into? Outside of losing my scholarships in college because I had alcohol poisoning and couldn't play ball anymore, not much at all.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be? I'd pay the artist more on streams. AT LEAST $0.25 per stream.
What's next? Next, is #blackexecllence the album and some of the greatest production the world has ever heard. "Maybe (ft. Jus True)"is out now you can check the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzM7DZAvAD0
