Jussie Smollett is being sue by city of chicago for $130K in overtime wages
Chicago is preparing to sue performing artist Jussie Smollett, who authorities state has disregarded the police office's interest that he pay back the $130,000 in additional time cops worked while exploring his trick abhor wrongdoing assault. Mr. Smollett has would not repay the City of Chicago for the expense of police extra time spent researching his bogus police report on January 29, 2019," the Chicago Law Department said in an announcement. The city said seven days prior that they would allow Smollett multi week to hack up a "cash request or guaranteed clerk's check" for $130,106.15. That figure speaks to the aggregate sum of additional time the Windy City's police office needed to pay out amid the examination. The Law Department will record the suit sooner rather than later," the city wrote in the announcement, as indicated by the CBS report. "As a component of this legitimate activity, the Law Department will seek after the full proportion of harms permitted under the statute."
