Artist Q&A

How did you start in the music business?

Starting writing poems at the age of eight, but I started music at age sixteen while doing landscaping work. I wrote lyrics on my phone, recorded them, and played them for my dad. He went "bonkers" and told me we need to get this professionally recorded and put the music out to the world.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I create a mixture of hip-hop, pop, conscience, and R&B. Hard-hitting slaps, braggadocious lyrics, melodic hooks, and flow. I can switch up my style to show my soft side. I want to learn new styles of music and combine the melody Lil Wayne did with rock, which took Country by storm.

What is the current project?

The current project is rising above the odds to come on top. The project shares how I got here the hard way, and although I am not in a criminal environment, I understand. The project expresses humble beginnings, authenticity, and will not be generic!

How do you feel it will inspire others?

To be themselves, break barriers, and be creative.

What is your creative process?

I like to write the chorus first and build my verses around it. The chorus is the main idea of the song. I brainstorm and write my song bar for the bar.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Drake

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Eminem

What is one message you would give to your fans?

Be the impossible.

What is the most useless talent you have?

All my talents are vital.

Do you sing in the shower? Lol yes, I do all the time What songs? Whatever is on my playlist or new music I wrote. Also songs from artists like Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Justin Bieber.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?  Good question! Maybe, a customs officer.

Where have you performed?

I performed at school and a hotel talent show.

What are your favorite and least favorite venues?

An arena will have to be my favorite and my least (another good question because I'll perform anywhere once it pays or is for a good cause)

Do you have any upcoming shows?

None currently with the pandemic.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Positively and negatively! But the good far outweighs the bad. An artist can gain traction on social media which, is fantastic.

What is your favorite song to perform?

My love songs!

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Drake

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

I skip school one day to drive my girlfriend around!

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Strive for the best settle for nothing less.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I would change the disconnection between record labels and unsigned rappers.

What’s next?

To debut my first ever mixtape/album, then get signed. The only thing left to do is to show them I was born to do this. Maybe one day I might try acting or compete in kickboxing

What should the world know?

I am 22 years old, 6 ft 2, muscular, and ready to inspire them with my story and music.
