The new single "Pushin Dat Work by Manny and featuring Troy Ave" is everywhere! Everyone should care as the song is talking about a person who works hard can get anywhere.  Manuel Robinson, better known as Manny, is a professional recording artist. Manny was born in Orange, New Jersey, where he started in the music business at 13 years old. Manny has accomplished many achievements in the music industry, doing television. He and his father was the host of the "Reggae Times" television and music. The show was aired locally across New Jersey through Comcast and Cablevision.

Manny had the privilege to grow up around many reggae artists due to his father's network. He grew up around Sister Carol, gospel reggae artist Hopton Lewis and many more.

In 2013 Manny released the album "Music 4 da streets," which sold 20,000 units independently. Manny's songs were in the New York Post, Newspapers, and Montclair times with the single off the album called "Like everywhere I turn is war," "Hyprocite featuring Kolor Don," and "Take me away featuring Jasoul."

Under the New Jersey So Tuff Records label, Manny has released "Pushin Dat Work featuring Troy Ave"! Troy ave is from Brooklyn, New York, which Manny felt was the perfect fit for the "Pushin Dat Work" record. Troy Ave's album debuted at number 47 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. "Pushin Dat Work" was charted on the "National College Chart," "MP3 Radio Chart," "HipHop Top Chart," and more.

What first got you into music?

My high school friend named Yaseya! I grew up around my dad doing music and other musicians. Therefore, music has become a part of me and my life.

Who inspired you to make music?

Musicians such as Bob Marley 2pac and Nas

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Inspirational, conscious, and mostly uplifting.

What is your creative process?

My creative process is like a piece of cake I can get a track in one day and put some lyrics to the song within less than an hour.

Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song?

Female ill say Lauryn Hill, Nas, and whoever as long as they're willing to create good music.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

No matter what you do, pray and put god first.

What is the most useless talent you have?

The means to elevating my art more!

Do you sing in the shower?
No! what song? 

What would you be doing right now if it wasn't for your music career?

I probably would be in the military.

Where have you performed? 
Hilton Hotel in Newark, NJ Penn station, boys and girls club Paterson, NJ Meatlocker, and Montclair, NJ.

Do you have any upcoming shows? 

Due to the COVID, outbreak performance is currently limited!

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

It has impacted the music business in a good way, being that you don't have to deal with a recording label like way back!

You can easily get discovered on your own by people around the world is great!

What is your favorite song to perform?

My favorite song is "Everywhere I turn is war" which reminds me of Bob Marley's war which is also on youtube as "MANNY Everywhere I turn is war."

Which famous musician do you admire?

Jadakiss and Nas

What is the most trouble you got into?

A fight with someone's in NYC for trying to take my money. The incident leads me to him being cut-ups and obtaining terrorist threat accusations in high school.

What is the best advice given to you?

Treat people well, and goodwill comes back to you! Its karma

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Give artists more spotlight and opportunities. Teach artists to be more independent and show them the music business before jumping right into a project.

What's next for you?

Shooting a music video for the new single! Working on an album with hit bangers.
